Music Teacher Bio For Virginia Grissom
Virginia Grissom earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy and has over 30 years teaching experience.
She is a member of Florida State Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, and Mid-State Music Teachers Association.
She has taught class piano at USF, private piano at Academy of the Holy Names, and piano camps at Patel Conservartoty.
Virginia continuously updates her teaching skills through workshop attendance, including an 8-day Keyboard Ensemble and Technology Seminar each summer.
Her classes include learning solos, ensembles, keyboard skills, theory, improvisation, harmonization, arranging, transposing, digital technology, playing by ear, recording on flashdrives, MP3's, and ipods, making CD's, playing games, and HAVING FUN!
You will have lots of performing opportunities, including monthly Family Fun Nights!
Other studio offerings include:
-Recreational Music Making, an 8 week course for beginning adults (NO public performing required!)
-Monthly Music Adventure Classes (no piano experience necessary!)
-Summer Keyboard Camps!
Studio includes an acoustic grand piano, a Clavinova digital piano, a 6-keyboard lab, PA system, computer, and music software.
